{"id":2185,"date":"2026-02-11T15:05:20","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T06:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.furukawarockdrill.co.jp\/?page_id=2185"},"modified":"2026-02-11T17:37:31","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T08:37:31","slug":"policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.furukawarockdrill.co.jp\/en\/policy","title":{"rendered":"Privacy Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"privacy\">\n<ul id=\"pagePath\" class=\"fadeInUp\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.furukawarockdrill.co.jp\">TOP<\/a>&gt;<\/li>\n<li>Privacy Policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"content\">\n<div class=\"termsBox termsBox02\">\n<h2 class=\"fadeInUp\">Privacy Policy<\/h2>\n<p class=\"text fadeInUp\">Furukawa Rock Drill Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as the &#8220;Company&#8221;) believes that appropriately handling the personal information of customers and other stakeholders is a corporate social responsibility, and the Company will handle the personal information provided by customers or obtained through services in accordance with this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this &#8220;Policy&#8221;). &#8220;Personal Information&#8221; as used in this Policy refers to the information stipulated in Article 2, paragraph (1) of the &#8220;Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003)&#8221; (hereinafter referred to as the &#8220;Personal Information Protection Act&#8221;).<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fadeInUp\"><span class=\"num\">1\uff0e<\/span>Compliance<\/h3>\n<p class=\"text02 fadeInUp\">In handling the Personal Information, the Company will comply with the Personal Information Protection Act, other related laws and regulations, and relevant guidelines.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fadeInUp\"><span class=\"num\">2\uff0e<\/span>Purposes of Use<\/h3>\n<p class=\"fadeInUp\">The Company will use the Personal Information it has obtained to the extent necessary to achieve the following purposes and will not use it beyond the extent necessary to achieve these purposes without obtaining the prior consent of the principal, except in cases permitted by the laws and regulations.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"textList fadeInUp\">\n<li>(1) To respond to inquiries (including access via the inquiry form on the website), applications, etc.<\/li>\n<li>(2) For use in business activities:<br class=\"wpTag\" \/><span class=\"comSubSpan\"><span class=\"wpTag\">i.<\/span>to conduct transactions or to engage in communication in connection therewith;<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"comSubSpan\"><span class=\"wpTag\">ii.<\/span>to provide information on products and services; or<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"comSubSpan\"><span class=\"wpTag\">iii.<\/span>to send invitations, brochures, etc. for exhibitions and other events.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>(3) To manage employees and retirees.<\/li>\n<li>(4) To provide and communicate information regarding employment.<\/li>\n<li>(5) To respond to audits.<\/li>\n<li>(6) To control access to facilities managed by the Company.<\/li>\n<li>(7) For other purposes considered reasonably necessary for the provision of services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"fadeInUp\"><span class=\"num\">3\uff0e<\/span>Security control measures<\/h3>\n<p class=\"text03 fadeInUp\">The Company will take the necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage in respect of &#8220;Personal Data&#8221; (meaning data stipulated in Article 16, paragraph (3) of the Personal Information Protection Act) and to otherwise control Personal Data securely.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fadeInUp\"><span class=\"num\">4\uff0e<\/span>Disclosure to Third Parties<\/h3>\n<p class=\"fadeInUp\">In addition to what is set forth in (1) and (2) below, the Company may only disclose or provide Personal Data to any third party, to the extent that this is permitted by the laws and regulations or with the consent of the principal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text04 fadeInUp\">(1) Sharing<br class=\"wpTag\" \/>The Company may share personal data with its parent company, Furukawa Co., Ltd., and its consolidated subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as the \u201cFurukawa Company Group\u201d) within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use.  If an inquiry to the Company is deemed appropriate to be answered by an affiliated company belonging to Furukawa Company Group, that affiliated company may contact you.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list fadeInUp\">\n<li><span class=\"txtSpan\">(i) <\/span>Personal Data to be shared<br class=\"wpTag\" \/>Name, gender, date of birth, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, occupation, place of work, transaction records, etc.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"txtSpan\">(ii) <\/span>Person responsible for the management of Personal Data<br class=\"wpTag\" \/>FURUKAWA ROCK DRILL CO., LTD.<br class=\"wpTag\"><br \/>\n\t\tTokiwabashi Tower, 2-6-4, Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-8370, Japan<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"txtSpan\">(iii)<\/span>Purpose of sharing<br class=\"wpTag\" \/>As described in 2. (1) to (7) above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text02 fadeInUp\">(2) Outsourcing<br class=\"wpTag\" \/>The Company may outsource the handling of Personal Data to a third party to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In this case, the Company will supervise the outsourcing contractor as necessary and appropriate.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fadeInUp\"><span class=\"num\">5\uff0e<\/span>Provision to third parties located in foreign countries<\/h3>\n<p class=\"text04 fadeInUp\">If the Company provides Personal Data to any third party located in a foreign country (including\toverseas subsidiaries of the Company&#8217;s Group), the Company will take the necessary measures in accordance with laws and regulations after ascertaining the system relating to the protection of\tpersonal information in the country or region in which the Personal Data is handled.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"fadeInUp\"><span class=\"num\">6\uff0e<\/span>Requests for disclosure, etc. of &#8220;Retained Personal Data&#8221; (meaning Personal Data stipulated in Article 16, paragraph (4) of the Personal Information Protection Act)<\/h3>\n<p class=\"text04 fadeInUp\">(1) The Company will respond to the following requests from the principal or his\/her agent in accordance with the laws and regulations regarding Retained Personal Data.<br class=\"wpTag\" \/><span class=\"comSubSpan\"><span class=\"wpTag\">i. <\/span>Notification of the purposes of use of Retained Personal Data<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"comSubSpan\"><span class=\"wpTag\">ii. <\/span>Disclosure of Retained Personal Data<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"comSubSpan\"><span class=\"wpTag\">iii. <\/span>Correction, addition, or deletion of the content of Retained Personal Data<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"comSubSpan\"><span class=\"wpTag\">iv. <\/span>Suspension of use or erasure of Retained Personal Data<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"comSubSpan\"><span class=\"wpTag\">v. <\/span>Suspension of provision of Retained Personal Data to a third party<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text fadeInUp\">(2) As to the request in (1) above, please make a request for an application form to the following e-mail address. For more information on the fees, please refer to the guidance document on the request procedure that will be sent to you.
